EBSA is thrilled to be named as a AGWA design awards state finalist for Queensland in the Most Innovative Window Solution category for the MP2 Opposed Opening Louvres.
The Schneider MP2 louvre, initially introduced in 2012, quickly emerged as the preferred choice in the Australian market as thermal performance requirements escalated with updates to the National Construction Code (NCC). Its exceptional features make it a standout solution for contemporary architectural projects.
The product of choice on many landmark projects, the MP2 is unlike any other louvre system you are likely to have encountered. These louvres have withstood rigorous testing, including passing cyclone tests at 32m/s and being the sole louvre to meet the AS4284 test. Additionally, the MP2 louvre excelled in an earthquake test for a recent project.
Already recognised as the top performing louvre on the market, and we elevated the louvre to the next level with the release of the Award-winning MP2 Opposed Opening Louvre (MP2-FL-OP).
The MP2-FL-OP emerged from extensive collaboration with our client for the Seafarers Project to address specific needs, notably maintaining unobstructed views even when open. Overcoming challenges such as sightline obstruction and water ingress, we engineered a solution that combines innovative blade movement with high water rating. Inspired by previous earthquake testing, we refined the drive system for simultaneous or separate operation of top and bottom blades. This two-year development journey culminated in the creation of 111 Louvres for the Seafarers Project, showcasing the adaptability and performance of the MP2 Opposed Opening Louvre.
