The Australian Achiever Awards are an independent, unbiased award system based on assessment ratings from a business’s own customers. The award system focuses on eight criteria; time-related service, addressing client needs, care and attention, value, attitude, communication, overall perception and referral. “Anything above 80% overall is regarded as exceptional and reflects outstanding customer service”. EBSA was overjoyed to receive a score of 94.23% for customer satisfaction.

EBSA Receives Gold D+H Atmosphere Award for the Ken Rosewall Arena Project

EBSA is thrilled to have been awarded the D+H Atmosphere Award in the ‘Gold’ Category for the Ken Rosewall Arena project. A huge congratulation to the EBSA team, an outstanding achievement!

The Ken Rosewall Arena (KRA) is an award-winning, multipurpose arena located at The Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre. The arena, which includes seating for 10,500 guests was originally purpose-built for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.

The $50 Million upgrade, completed in 2020, transformed the arena into a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose venue suitable for all-weather conditions with the striking new cable-tension canopy roof (of approximately 8,000 m2) replacing the original perimeter-only roof.
Designed with an Australian summer and safety in mind, EBSA was engaged to deliver a system that ensures that both the players and crowds enjoy the comfort of a well-ventilated arena with a natural ventilation solution incorporating 34 x thermally broken louvres and 2 x thermally broken operable access hatch (doors) in the pop-up oculus to provide a natural ventilation and smoke relief solution for the centre.

EBSA is proud to have been involved with this exceptional project; designing and delivering a full turnkey solution with the supply and installation of the BT90 louvre system, a CPSM smoke control panel and digital ZA louvre actuators. The integration of ACB technology provides digital communication between the louvre actuators and the BMS system; a remote access gateway removes the need for a technician to visit the site, allowing real-time monitoring and functional checks of each individual drive to occur via a secure cloud server.

SLS BT90 Louvre Series

The SLS BT90 louvre has been designed to meet the new stringent energy efficiency requirements within the NCC. The thermally broken frames and the option for double or triple glazing allows for U values as low as 2.355. A value of around 3 is achievable for clear glazing with a triple IGU.
 
In addition to the incredible thermal performance, the SLS BT90 has also been tested to AS2047, achieving 450Pa Resistance to Water Penetration at a span of 1740mm and passing Air Infiltration requirements for air-conditioned buildings due to its incredibly low air filtration rate.
 
The SLS BT90 system allows for 28-44mm IGU’s and can also be glazed with aluminium sandwich panel for an all-metal finish in blade heights of up to 500mm.
 
Acoustic performance is dependent on glass selection, the SLS BT90 can achieve values as high as Rw 44.

CTBUH ‘Most Influential Tall Buildings of the Last 50 Years’ List

EBSA is thrilled to have our products incorporated into two of the exceptional projects recently named by the Council on Tall Buildings & Urban Habitat’s (CTBUH) as ‘The most influential tall buildings of the last 50 years’.
“CTBUH has highlighted best practice examples of tall buildings that represented a significant change in thinking or technique” with each building representing “a milestone in the development of the typology”

1 Bligh St, Sydney;
There are three types of operable glass louvres utilised on the No 1 Bligh Street project and EBSA are extremely proud to have our Schneider Louvres feature prominently amongst these. The project consists of large-format louvres on the ground floor and Safetyline Jalousie louvres at roof level. In between these spanning nearly every level of the building are our Schneider G12 BS frameless glass louvres connected to the BMS and Fire System via our D+H Mechatronic smoke control panels.

MBA ‘Excellence in Construction’ Award Winning Projects Showcase EBSA’s Products

Congratulations to all of the winners of the recent Master Builder Association Excellence in Construction Awards. A special mention to Built Pty Ltd for being awarded the “Best Sustainable Project” for the One Malop Street, Geelong project (U-City) and to Kane Fairbrother (Joint Venture Kane Constructions & Fairbrother) who was awarded The 2019 Regional Commercial Builder of the Year for the Rivergum Residential Treatment Centre, Ararat.
EBSA was thrilled to be involved with both of these innovative, world-class projects;
U-City (One Malop St) – Supply and installation of MP2 SGI louvres and awning actuators in addition to the supply and installation of a CPSM control panel for smoke relief and natural ventilation.
Rivergum Residential Treatment Centre – EBSA’s MP2 double glazed, thermally broken framed louvre systems with our high-level CPSM control panel and a complete turnkey solution was utilised in the Rivergum project.
