Revolutionizing Building Automation: Embrace the Power of Ventilation & Automation

Wednesday, 21 June 2023 by virginia

In this recent Architecture & Design article, David Auret, Director of EBSA, highlights the impact of automated façades in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. By integrating digital actuators and controllers, buildings can now communicate directly with window actuators, enabling real-time feedback and fault reporting. The latest advancements, like the digital satellite module, reduce field cabling by up to 50%, making natural ventilation and smoke control solutions more sustainable. This innovative approach is changing the game and reshaping industry expectations.

Improving Ventilation in Schools – Making Buildings Breathe

Tuesday, 07 March 2023 by virginia

Quality air is critical for efficient learning and focused work. D+H ventilation solutions deliver the necessary atmosphere of wellness within the building. An individualised ventilation strategy opens and closes all windows with perfect positioning based on the indoor and outdoor temperatures.

Avila College:
EBSA was proud to supply and install the D+H Mechatronic GVL8364-E12 Ventilation Control Panel and 65 CDC 200/600 D+H Mechatronic Chain Actuators for this striking project.

The universally applicable CDC chain drive can be integrated into the profile or surface-mounted and is so compact that it is virtually hidden once installed. This makes the CDC ideal for aesthetically and functionally sophisticated façade solutions; furthermore, the chain drive runs extremely quietly thanks to the innovative decoupling in the drive.

Proud to be a D+H Partner, EBSA delivers multi-service excellence throughout New Zealand, Australia and Canada. Our dedicated team has the knowledge and experience to assist you through all phases of your project.

The MP2 Is Unlike Any Other Louvre System You Are Likely To Have Encountered.

Tuesday, 10 January 2023 by virginia

Natural light, fresh air and a sense of space are key attributes of modern building architecture and louvre windows are recognised as an effective means of delivering these.

The product of choice on many landmark projects, the MP2 has undergone a number of project-specific tests, achieving some incredible results along the way, including passing cyclone testing Part A and B at 32m/s and being the only louvre to pass the AS4284 test for a project. EBSA is thrilled to add to this impressive list with the MP2 louvre recently passing an earthquake test for a project.

Midtown Centre Awarded a 6-Star Green Star Rating from the Green Building Council of Australia

Tuesday, 29 November 2022 by virginia

A huge congratulations to AsheMorgan and DMANN Corporation on Midtown Centre receiving a 6-Star Green Star Rating from the Green Building Council of Australia. 6-Stars represents the highest standard (World Leadership) in environmentally sustainable building practices.

Designed in line with the Brisbane City Council’s “Buildings that Breathe” guidelines for a passive, subtropical design. Midtown Centre includes natural ventilation, operable windows and doors, an abundance of plants and ample outdoor space.

The intricate and innovative merging of two 20-storey structures, as opposed to the demolition and new build, saved an estimated 11,000 tonnes of carbon emissions; the equivalent of running the building fully occupied, carbon-neutral for four years.

EBSA was thrilled to be engaged by SRG Global to undertake the supply and installation of the Schneider LF550 automated single-glazed louvre system and D+H Mechatronic CPS-M control panels on this unique project; delivering natural ventilation to the building.

SRG Global’s façade division undertook the design, supply and installation of the engineered curtain wall facades for the project.

Phive – Parramatta Council’s $135 Million Civic Hub.

Thursday, 10 November 2022 by virginia
As the community, cultural and civic heart of the Parramatta CBD, the impressive Civic Centre is the state’s most sustainable government building. The design focuses on environmental performance; achieving a low reliance on heating and cooling through sustainable design principles.
EBSA are proud to have been engaged on 5 Parramatta Square integrating our energy-efficient Schneider BT90 thermally broken double-glazed louvres into the building facade along with a digital CPS-M natural ventilation controller to interface with the BMCS. In conjunction with the thermal chimneys, the operable louvres will be an effective means of improving air quality, in particular the removal of aerosol particles which can transmit Covid 19.
EBSA has a range of air quality sensors that can be retrofitted to existing projects and work in conjunction with new or existing automated facade systems to provide this same benefit to classrooms and workplaces alike.

CPS-M Series – Fully Modular and Digital Smoke Control Panel; Saving Lives and Protecting Property

Thursday, 25 August 2022 by virginia

The CPS-M SHEV control panel heralds a new dimension in safety and security technology, ensuring that the hot, rising air escapes from the building. Emergency routes are cleared of the majority of smoke within seconds, creating escape routes. In addition, extracting the heat prevents thermal stress on the building structure which can prevent the building from collapsing.

Digital, high-performance and cost-effective, the fully modular CPS-M smoke vent control panel unifies the most important requirements for modern smoke extraction systems. It vastly increases building safety standards thanks to intelligent networking and is extremely cost-efficient and flexible due to reduced line routing and its compact design.

The integration of ACB technology enables bidirectional communication between the control panel and drives. This means that the control panel also provides real-time feedback about the position and condition of the window drives. Using ACB up to 20 drives are connected to the CPS-M using just one group connector and one cable. Additionally, with the use of NSV 401, it is possible during a mains outage to continue controlling and supplying the connected motorised 230 V AC drives for up to 72 hours, ensuring a smart emergency power supply.
