A huge congratulations to AsheMorgan and DMANN Corporation on Midtown Centre receiving a 6-Star Green Star Rating from the Green Building Council of Australia. 6-Stars represents the highest standard (World Leadership) in environmentally sustainable building practices.

Designed in line with the Brisbane City Council’s “Buildings that Breathe” guidelines for a passive, subtropical design. Midtown Centre includes natural ventilation, operable windows and doors, an abundance of plants and ample outdoor space.

The intricate and innovative merging of two 20-storey structures, as opposed to the demolition and new build, saved an estimated 11,000 tonnes of carbon emissions; the equivalent of running the building fully occupied, carbon-neutral for four years.

EBSA was thrilled to be engaged by SRG Global to undertake the supply and installation of the Schneider LF550 automated single-glazed louvre system and D+H Mechatronic CPS-M control panels on this unique project; delivering natural ventilation to the building.

SRG Global’s façade division undertook the design, supply and installation of the engineered curtain wall facades for the project.

As the community, cultural and civic heart of the Parramatta CBD, the impressive Civic Centre is the state’s most sustainable government building. The design focuses on environmental performance; achieving a low reliance on heating and cooling through sustainable design principles.
EBSA are proud to have been engaged on 5 Parramatta Square integrating our energy-efficient Schneider BT90 thermally broken double-glazed louvres into the building facade along with a digital CPS-M natural ventilation controller to interface with the BMCS. In conjunction with the thermal chimneys, the operable louvres will be an effective means of improving air quality, in particular the removal of aerosol particles which can transmit Covid 19.
EBSA has a range of air quality sensors that can be retrofitted to existing projects and work in conjunction with new or existing automated facade systems to provide this same benefit to classrooms and workplaces alike.

Congratulations to the EBSA team on the outstanding achievement at the AGWA 2022 QLD Awards last Friday with Vedalia taking home the award for the ‘Best Use of Windows & Doors, Glass & Glazing – Commercial under $100,000 Category.
Located in the harbourside suburb Double Bay, this three-storey luxurious apartment block comprises just seven units. The opulent building design and desirable location saw the penthouse recently set a recording-breaking price per sqm for an apartment in Sydney’s east.
The front lobby features a 4.5m high ceiling and showcases EBSA’s Fixed louvre system; delivering a visually-pleasing entrance with abundant natural light and ventilation.
Project Features:
• Supply and installation of 126 fixed brackets
• Installation of 95 glass blades supplied by G James Glass and Aluminium
The louvre system was installed onto another quality G James Glass and Aluminium project

The CPS-M SHEV control panel heralds a new dimension in safety and security technology, ensuring that the hot, rising air escapes from the building. Emergency routes are cleared of the majority of smoke within seconds, creating escape routes. In addition, extracting the heat prevents thermal stress on the building structure which can prevent the building from collapsing.

Digital, high-performance and cost-effective, the fully modular CPS-M smoke vent control panel unifies the most important requirements for modern smoke extraction systems. It vastly increases building safety standards thanks to intelligent networking and is extremely cost-efficient and flexible due to reduced line routing and its compact design.

The integration of ACB technology enables bidirectional communication between the control panel and drives. This means that the control panel also provides real-time feedback about the position and condition of the window drives. Using ACB up to 20 drives are connected to the CPS-M using just one group connector and one cable. Additionally, with the use of NSV 401, it is possible during a mains outage to continue controlling and supplying the connected motorised 230 V AC drives for up to 72 hours, ensuring a smart emergency power supply.

EBSA – committed to delivering world-leading technology and innovation within the construction industry.
