The Corso

EBSA was proud to have our ECOBUS natural ventilation system selected for this landmark project by PDT Architects.

The project comprised the interfacing of operable awning sashes with the operation of the BMS. ECOBUS utilising KNX standard provided the solution and utilising a simple traffic light system allows the occupants to enjoy natural ventilation when external conditions allow. The windows are modulated (0-100%) for more effective control and sensors located within each zone provide feedback to the BMS (through the ECOBUS system) to shut down mechanical heating and cooling and enable natural ventilation.

A touchscreen is located in the main library office area (not accessible to the public) and provides information on each zone within the building and the ability for library staff to manually operate the windows as desired.

VCD 200/350 chain drives (actuators) fitted with SGI functionality for 0-100% modulation were fitted to the G. James supplied windows.

EBSA supplied and installed all of the automation hardware, cabling, programming and commissioning of the system.
